... Chicago was going to buy the Old State House from Boston and build it up again in a park there! That would just be embarrassing and so the Bostonian society reopened the State House. It has now been a museum longer than anything else. ... morning we have an early flight home. Final thoughts - Jack enjoyed Vermont best, Lauralee, Grace, and myself enjoyed Boston best. We would love to see Vermont in the fall with the maple trees in color. We would also like to see a Red Sox game at Fenway. ... see a yet unfamiliar side of Boston since the guys needed to go to a number of department stores in order to find the cheapest possible bedding. It took a few hours and some walking up and down the street, but Macy’s Department Store turned out the be the winner. I then bought some notebooks and shampoo at the CVS pharmacy, which is comparable to a huge Kruidvat. ... we learnt a lot this first one so hey, what can go wrong.
A few things I’ve learned today:
1)My first subway ride, was hot, crowded, germ infested (hanging on to those bars)…ewww, yuck!!! I’m probably not a mass transit kind of gal lol!
2)Asking questions in a strange town is probably a good thing to do..especially about train schedules.
3) Don’t put off doing things you want to do until tomorrow because ...
