There would be no sleeping in this morning, as we had to be up early to go fishing! Roger was going to be taking us out on his boat into the river so we went to his place to get things sorted. He has a dock literally at the back of his house from which, he launches his boat. While at Jaynes, Dave enjoyed the opportunity to interact with other multihull cruisers in the process of performing their own maintenance tasks. It was ...

Motoring from Great Wicomico to Little Wicomico

A travel blog entry by pas_de_deux on Aug 24, 2008

There was no wind for sailing today. It was slick flat calm. No fish either. We motored our way back to our marina. At least it was sunny, dry and pleasant to be outdoors on the water! We arrived at 1114 hours and spent the usual couple of hours it takes to wrap things up before driving home to Arlington. ...

    Anchorage at Indian Creek

A travel blog entry by pas_de_deux on May 25, 2008

On Sunday we sailed out of Carter Creek at 0822 hours and spent a very pleasant day touring up the Corottoman River under motor sail to scout future potential anchorages. Then we headed south down the Rappahannock, tacking under the bridge. ...
