We are doing a full tour in the morning and will see more then, up to now we have not had any photo opportunities so have really only been out for dinner and that's about all for today. We have noticed that Washington is really clean and well looked after but there have been signs of a few homeless people ...

It's impossible to spot them on the streets: They don't live in UN tents, or stand in lines for subsidized meals. They look just like everybody else. I think by the time the students leave, they will all be saying good-by the Spanish way. I'm wondering where the abonos mensuales will take us - the Cerralbo Museum, the Estadio Bernabeu to see a soccer game, a bullfight, the Cava ...

... prepared for the inaugural drive.

The drive to Baltimore was uneventful, though I was a little nervous riding without a co-pilot to navigate. I gave dad the orientation and we stocked up on supplies at Walmart. The only glitch in this leg of the trip was that the dealership did not fill up the water tank before we left. Luckily the kind fellows at the Walmart automotive center let us fill up there. We learned that it takes about 25 minutes ...
