Rode down I-77 and ended up in Johnson City, TN. After sitting in sweltering heat in traffic near the Bristol Motor Speedway (we DID NOT know it was race weekend)....we were thankfully able to get a room at the first place we stopped. It was a smoking room, and hadn't been updated since 1977. $212 too - YIKES!

... looked at my right foot, it is swelled and bruised across the top.....not sure what went south....but it will not keep me from hiking. ... only the 2nd time in six years - and I was just too cold and ****** to pump more water - with the broken pump, until daybreak. If I would have pumped water, my body would not have gave me the issues. I knew better, but no real harm -no foul! After day break, I was treated to an awesome sunrise! - then more hills.... not big hills, but to water-lacking body - felt like Everest!
