Another comfortable Holiday Inn Express, which was fine for a one-night stay. I was exhausted when we arrived early in the day, but they had the room ready and I was able t sack out for a while. The folks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

    Hello Once Again!

We're in Woodstock, Ontario, Canada this evening, ready to head west into Michigan. It's been another journey for the books, complete with ups and downs, but -- so far -- nothing going seriously wrong. Quebec is on our repeat to-do list, as is Acadia National Park, since the weather was disappointing during our stay there …

... is the “City Airport” which sits on an island just a couple os hundred meters across the harbor. It is quite horrific with its noise, jet fumes and ugly hangars and warehouses. Thank heavens Vancouver never built such a monstrosity. Speaking of monstrosities, apparently there is serious planning to remove the appalling Gardiner Expressway which sits above the lakefront, so maybe our next visit to TO will be more appreciative.
    Westward Ho tomorrow.

A long distance ride, if camping is involved, requires a fair bit of gear and significant effort is required in order to maximize the storage space and minimize the weight. Thankfully, new camping equipment technologies have greatly reduced the weight and size of most camping related items while making huge improvements in quality. One great example is my EXPED 9 Downmat air mattress.

My old body had rebelled against camping on the cold, hard ...

Hi everyone! We've just left Ontario to head to Israel for the first Promised Land Youth Conference!!! After just over a years planning, and a good 5 years dreaming about it, our journey has begun! We thought we'd make the most of the opportunity and add a week to the trip (it might be the last chance, eh?). So, we're off to Eilat first, then the Negev, through Tel Aviv and up ...

    Welcome
to the forbidden land of Egrediar Periculum, land of the Vita People. However, that
previous sentence cannot be true, for the land of The Vita has now been
captured and is being ruled by the Mortis people of the North. What was once hope, peace and joy in the land, has now changed into despair, fear and cruelty, all because of the acts
of the Mortis people. The land of Egrediar Periculum gives shelter to people who are cruel, depressed ...
