Long drive today. we left Eastham about 10 a.m. When we left we had noticed a noise from the tire. Mark stopped at an auto repair place he had seen and they took a look. Not a big deal. Seems the hub cap got bent- I think we must have bumped a curb somewhere, and it was making a noise. Put the hubcap back on- noise gone, problem solved. And on we ...

... because there are several interesting things to do in the area. As it turned out we could easily have spent a week or more there, I think we may well return next time we are in the area especially since it’s only a couple of hours north of NY city which we would like to go back to and it's on the rail route in.
We are in the Hudson valley, yes the Hudson River where that plane ‘landed’ safely earlier this year. Our campsite is very pleasant ...

We spent the first couple days at brian's baby sitting chase, the puppy, and hoping for our bikes to make it safely back to pennsylvania. When we had no luck with that we headed here to my house and were thrown right into the "line of duty" with full on child baby sitting shifts as soon as we got here. needless to say ...

... London paperwork, all that jazz, and brian and I have been getting everything ready for the bike tour! we have our panniers packed and soon our bikes will be boxed up and we'll be on our way. Another leg of the journey is complete, we're off to brian's for a few days tonight and then we'll be on the open road again, just this time we'll be with our bikes!

... later that we got a flat tire and were trying to explain to AAA where the heck we were on 75. They eventually found us and changed the tire, and then we headed to the next town to get not one...but two new tires. Brian and I took short naps and filled up on dum dum lollypops before leaving the garage and we were on our way again after only losing somewhere ...
