Took a 45 mile drive to the other side of the metroplex to the Fort Worth stockyards. ... Stockyards district centers around Main and Exchange Streets, where twice a day they still hold a cattle drive. Nowadays it's mainly for the entertainment of the crowds of tourists, but you can definitely get an idea of what it was like back in the day when cowboys drove their cattle towards the railroad yards, stopping at the Livestock Exchange, not to mention the various bars, hotels, and restaurants.
