    ... separating us from the beach. Being on the second floor, it's high enough for a view but not high enough to need to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs.

    Robyn and Jonathan scored the master bedroom. Ensuite, a king size bed with adjustable mattress, and a sliding door to the balcony. Luxury! Though the other room, with a bathroom next door wasn't too bad.

    The overnight rain returned for our journey to Monterey and it felt like an age before we finally made it out of the Santa Cruz city limits.
