... and it was also much more of a rolling landscape. There were also a lot more trees as they were all but absent from the landscape further south.
One of the little towns I went through was Huron, South Dakota, home of the World's Largest Pheasant. It has been quite a dry spell for me in terms of Big Things, so this was a treat and I'm hoping that Nina likes it as much as the Giant Egg...
... stops. Dist., carb, and a flat tire. Par for a Model A outing. We stopped in Dawson at a old gas station turned into a home. The people were real nice giving us a tour of their home. We also stopped at Harkins machine shop. See the pictures I drove 253 miles today and got 18.75 ...
The countdown is on. Shots are finished, passport arrived, new luggage, camera and we are off. I hope the weather is great as we travel to North Dakota to get on the plane. Traveling north in the winter is always iffy.
I could even pack my bags now if need be. I don't think I will be needing sandals and capri's here with the weekend temps to reach -30 :).

... As a variation in our culinary routine, we're having Truzzilino's Tamales tonight. They've patiently ridden along in the freezer, just waiting to help us out here in South Dakota.
Tomorrow we'll have another fairly long day, what with the NE wind and traveling west. We'll be making another "left turn" at Sioux Falls and then on to Oacoma. Should be interesting...
