We checked out Busch stadium where the local baseball team the St Louis Cardinals play. We checked out the City Garden which had some nice modern art, some which was accessible to simple minds like ours, some which went over our heads.

... br> For lunch, she treated us to her family-owned deli/butcher shop, Kelly's (this family is doing it RIGHT...they own the local tavern, a deli, and a top notch butcher shop! Food and beer hook-ups...what a lovely thing). Their special today was slow-cooked roast beef open-faced sandwiches, mashed potatoes & gravy, and green beans. Oh my goodness, I wanted a nap afterwards...that food was DELICIOUS. We did a bit of grocery shopping there too...bought ...
The morning shined early (or, for one of us, the night never really ended) and we were early up and on the road. The destination? Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis and an afternoon Cardinals game.
