... go into the draw for 20 $30 tickets which are drawn out of a barrel 2 hours before the show. Otherwise tickets are $200-$400 which is crazy. Tomorrow I think I will go on a mission to see the Statue of Liberty for free...I don't want to do the tour but apparently you can see it from Brooklyn Bridge Park or the Staten Island Ferry. And the Staten Island Ferry is free. Then possibly a bit of shopping or the Museum of the Moving Image depending on ...

      Finding our way

... Cutting through New Jersey, Philidelphia, we reach Union station and are blown away with how beautiful it is. Across the street there stands capital Hill in all it's glory. It's everything it looks like in the films. We head for the metro for the train to. Bethesda, the hotel sits right outside the station. Although very grand the hotel is stuck in the 80's decor. The receptionist is lovely and very welcoming. We get settled into the room and decide we want to see all ...

This is a good way to see all the sights in a day, you don't feel rushed and the guide knows what he is talking about, it would be perfect for a school group because you could get all your sight seeing done and have a learning experience at the same time.

... Park again, getting a 'dirty water hotdog' along the way from a street vendor. The kids then ran around and played in the park for a while expending some energy. We eventually caught a taxi down Broadway to the hire car place (more like a Disney ride than a cab ride), picking up our new leather interior Chevy Impala without a hitch. The drive out to Monica's house in New Jersey was also fun and stress ...

Sunday 27th July - Coney Island and met with Arnah

A travel blog entry by valerie7 on Jul 27, 2014

... Central Park together. We did that, and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying themselves and the horse carriages trotting along too. We came to a very attractive restaurant/bar area and sat under an umbrella at the table and had a beer (Arnah had sparkling water). It was all very pleasant, with Central Park as our backdrop. We'd met at 4.30pm, and finally parted at 7pm back at the entrance to ...
