Goodbye Portland- hello Washington state! We are at our final West coast state, and we mark ONE month "on the road"! We visited Astoria, Oregon today to see the site of The Goonies movie location. Next month marks the 30th anniversary of the movie- who doesn't love The Goonies!? Ann got her first good look ( and smell) of the sea lions, because San …
This special place was also home to the Black bear and mountain lions, and as we soon got to hear from fellow campers, nothing could be left outside in the open. There is also a lot of construction at the waterfront, including the city's efforts to sink the freeway. I know that this is only temporary and I trust that it will look good once all is finished however it looks a bit shabby at the moment.
