We walked down some of the old part of town and I got to see the oldest building in LA, Autumn also took me to the water museum which was thankfully shut for refurbishment. Awoke reasonably early today. Court and Mackie slept in Jack's room and I slept up in the loft. Jack and Zoe had school today. We mucked around at home till 10 ish and then Jason and I rode bikes, with Mackie in the trailer behind, down to Venice beach and along the bike path to Santa Monica Pier. ... On to Batman: the ride. Kristen sat this one out because she wasn't feeling too hot. I should've waited with her. This one kicked my butt. The twirls and hills were awesome but the abrupt stop got me really dizzy and messed with my stomach. ... a soda, people watching and basking in the sun, perfection. On our way back to the hotel we stopped to take a photo of the Hollywood sign, just so we could say we've seen it, and then headed back to Universal City. The atmosphere at CityWalk was incredible, Sian had a boogie and we got on the 'big screen'! As we walked back to the hotel (with yet another souvenir glass from hard rock cafe) we could see all the fireworks over Los Angeles. They really do July 4th in style. Cal and Sian ...
