    Our first stop on the road to South America was an overnight in Dallas, Texas on Spencer's B-day. So, I scouted out a famous BBQ place that was close to the airport and our hotel - Hard Eight Texas BBQ was it! We ordered a tray of meat - seriously. We chose a sampler tray of different meat including; beef brisket, chicken jalapeno poppers, spicy sausage, and some beef skewers plus we added corn on the cobb. Everyone's favorite was the beef ...

    Tom and I got unloaded after a long trip. It was supposed to be 4 1/2 hours according to my information when I was planning the trip. It was more like 6 1/2 hours. Long day and I am tired. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight. I have PILES of laundry to do. It is never as much fun coming back as it is leaving.

    ... Africa and costs $9000 to replace each bench!!! We hurried through the self guided tour, back into daylight and thankfully found a taxi waiting outside. Unfortunately he was clueless with directions or landmarks and his gps wasn't working which was pretty frustrating. Not to mention we hit traffic entering the city. He couldn't even take us to our hotel because he didn't know where it was. So we caught the Dart train and walked back. Home by ...
