... really nice beers to sample. Nadia found a delicious apple pie liquor, some peach moonshine that could have launched the space shuttle and even a very nice grapefruit beer which she enjoyed. We both also enjoyed a very nice cider.

... Damien was given the largest glass of beer we have ever seen! We then drove to our hotel in Cary. The most exciting thing that happened there was that Nadia was able to do a load of washing. We had seriously run out of clothes. While this did not seem to take long, before we knew it, the day had disappeared and it was after 8pm! Everyone on contiki had a rather heavy night the night before so the long bus journey we had today was going to be interesting. I woke up hating life with a spinning head and feeling rather delicate. Had some brekky & felt better but still could have done with staying in bed. Then it was on the way to Charleston. We got there and picked up Lynda our tour guide.
