This morning's liftoff from Centennial Airport was fantastic with smooth skies for the 3.25 hours all the way to Ponca City, OK for our first fuel stop and lunch. Interestingly, this was the first time I landed at an airport barely above 1000' MSL (actually the first time landing below 3500') so managing the fuel mixture and resultant cylinder head and exhaust gas temperatures during descent was a new experience. A couple who were camping next door came over for a yarn, Sidney and Wes. nice people and even gave us some fire wood.

I napped after lunch and headed out with Alycia, Lorraine, Jamie, and Carlee before getting separated and engaging in some good conversation with Carlee.
