Since we are greatly enjoying this area in far west South Dakota, we were fortunate enough to be able to add another day in this campsite. I was so cold last night ,I slept in my T shirt and yoga pants since my winter pjs are packed away in the "basement" of the RV. Good thing today will be a slow day for sightseeing since we need to winterize.

There where casinos and more casinos next to each other. All the buildings are from the 1800 and the atmosphere from those days was felt. That night the demp. went down to 9 degrees.

... spectacular. We stayed at the Badlands KOA (only our second for-profit commercial campground) campsite, which was fantastic. Nice campsites, hot showers, clean bathrooms and great hosts. High ratings for this place. Our first day in the park, we did several great hikes - Doors & Windows, Saddle Pass, and Notch trail. Hiking up was not too challenging, however, coming down was tough. The rocks were very slippery and loose. The boys ...

We stayed in a Hotel for the first time on our trip while we visited Mount Rushmore. The drive though the Black Hills of South Dakota is worth every moment. I would love to do it on my Motorcycle. Deadwood is a turn of the century town with all of it characters.

... Chicago has gained a spot in the top 8 of the world for skyline views. After our boat tour we returned to our car which we parked in a tow zone without realizing... but fought off the parking police with molotov cocktails, and escaped just in time to make it to the aquarium for the afternoon. We managed to both pay attention and park legally this time but literally got the last parking spot! The gate was permanently closed ...
