Hikes, Heat and Hangin' out...
... find much cooperation. I called AAA and the jumper guy showed up in about half an hour. Nice service and well worth the cost, in my opinion.
We finally got on the road and drove a short distance to the Sonoran Desert Preserve. There are lots of trails there for man, horse and mountain bike. We actually saw more cyclists than hikers. One cyclist had the misfortune to have a flat, so we passed him and ...
Not much doing here...
... I barbecued Southwest Chicken out in the "yard". This we had with baked potatoes and a fresh green salad. Nice vittles, for sure.
Tomorrow we plan on doing some geocaching and perhaps take a hike on Camelback Mountain, not too far from the park.

Mid winter getaway
... the latter part of the day soaking up some rays in the dry heat of the desert. It's nice to get my tan back on, I feel like it gets sucked out so quick in the winter. Dinner tonight, 3 steaks for 3 girls BBQ'ed to perfection. Who ever said broads can't grill?
Pheonix is no Europe but it's awesome to get some much needed quality time with my momma and sister. Till next time,

Oregon to AZ in 11 days
... Up early again but not as early as Betz. She was already out watering lawns and flowers.
