... car (some great steaks!) and met some nice people too. I didn't catch their names but one lady had travelled all over Europe and had lots of interesting stories. And the guy we sat with for dinner had lived in San Francisco most of his life, and was travelling to Detroit to see an opera! He was also a big train lover (I imagine he would have gotten on well with Nick!) We are now going to try and settle in for the night. Eye masks and ear plug time - wish us luck! ...

... in a compromised design that wasn't as impressive or very functional. On our way out we had a quick look at the township of Ohiopyle which has transformed itself from humble industrial beginnings to focus on outdoor sports based around its spectacular surrounds, such as the river gorge that runs through town. ... lawn chair, a big elephant (that I almost beat up some kids to climb), corn hole and tons of fun people! It was great.

Later we went back to the house and continued a night of card games, junk food, embarrassing moments and other shena****ns, The next morning sucked. I don't even want to talk about it... But that was a LONG road trip home.

Regardless though! 4th of July in Deep Creek was one ot the best weekends of my life!!! ...

... morning heavy volume of traffic going into Baltimore. J drove all morning and negotiated 'spaghetti junctions' roading through the Baltimore city traffic, the tunnel road 'under' Chesapeake Bay, leading to the North side, and followed the Bay North......
