I always thought that missionaries went wherever they were told to go, but this woman only wanted to go to Paraguay and on her terms even though she repeatedly applied to global Ministries for assignments. It took about 20 years for her to become a missionary on her terms. Guess everything finally fell into place. Anyway, it was a little different.
