    ... We did a walk around the grounds and headed back to San Juan with Charlie wanting us to have a Mexican experience at Jardines De San Juan - a tequila and a meal. We were a little too early for both, but enjoyed looking around.

    Instead of Mexican we were treated to Charlie's Italian spaghetti bol. (Charlie lived in Italy for many years as an artist and his works have been exhibited in many European cities). It was delicious and enjoyed.

    ... but really beautiful and some incredible coastal views and elephant seal sightings. We should have taken more notice of a little sign Paul read...."travel not advised for semi-trailers!!".....hmmmm! We stopped for lunch in our trailer at the elephant seal viewing spot by Hearst Castle. What an amazing sight! The males weigh up to 5000 lbs!! You can see in the photos how many there are...just hundreds. It is mating ...

Our home rental was soooo comfy and well situated that once in, Gerry and I instantly changed and headed out to make some discoveries of the town...where we bought items for supper...ate in and it was yummy....settled in for an evening chat!     ... drive through the redwood forest yesterday, checked into Ben's room near Buena Vista Park and headed to Fishermans wharf on the street cars.
