Day 3 - Capitol Reef, Goblin Valley State Park, sunset at Arches National Park. This was a day with a lot of driving, I think almost 300miles but the stops in the middle helped break up the day. I *loved* Capitol Reef, I would recommend driving the gravel road at the end of the scenic drive where the canyon walls start coming in closer together. Goblin Valley State Park was nice because of the unusual rock formations but in hindsight, I'm not sure it was worth the detour. When we got to Moab,...
Capitol Reef National Park, Utah, United States bkamDay 4 - We spent the entire day at Arches National Park, we didn't do the 3 mile hike to the Delicate Arch (time constraints and the previously mentioned fear of heights), instead we hiked the 0.5 mile trail to the upper viewpoint which I think gave us excellent views. We then hiked the trail at Devil's Garden at the end of the sceninc drive. The initial part of the hike to the Landscape Arch is pretty flat and easy. It becomes harder after that but I think it's worth it to hike up to the Nav...
Arches National Park, Utah, United States bkamWell, it's February, and I'm back on the road. Luckily I'm still employed which continues to give me the chance to see more of the US and travel internationally when I get the opportunity. Probably the route I'd suggest for everyone to take, as the airport in Moab looks like nothing more than a farmer's backyard complete with a chicken fence and cow pastures. Descending into Grand Junction from Denver was absolutel...

stopped off at the Olympic Park in Park City, where some of the Winter Olympics 2002 events were held. Wow, what a view from the park! We watched people ski down huge slopes then d...
This day turned out to be much harder than we originally thought. We wanted to wait around to see James but he wasnt going to make it home until the afternoon so we went to breakfast and took off. The thought was that we could make it to Moab by mid afternoon, dinner at the latest.
Mother nature had other ideas. Out of Denver the weather really turned on us and it was a white out by the time we got to the tunnel. We thought we would be smooth sailing after this so we stopped in Vail t...
