      ... spot. We then became "the people" wandering the very happy, trendy, party town. We walked along the ocean and popped in for a drink. Unfortunately it was gingerale only.

      Stopped in Hyannis on our way back to poke in the shops and stop in a local restaurant for Clam Chowder. Yes, Chris is still on a clear fluid diet but he says the soup is fluid and with gingerale only he is seeing clear. I'm not sure this is what the doctor had in mind.

      ... UK had trauma centres without rehab hospitals attached to them - a view I share! MGH was very proud of its history and they took great pleasure in showing me their hospital museum. This housed the theatre where ether was used for the first time to anaesthetise patients during surgery. There was a portrait depicting the first 'operation' and the first instruments that were used.       ... can't be too careful, but this seemed extreme. Upon arrival in Boston I got a taste of Boston traffic as we arrived right on 5pm. Now Boston is known for 'some traffic snarls', but for me that's an understatement, there were swarms of people rushing across the streets and traffic jams everywhere. It's a wonder anyone gets home!
