... Also, I'm beginning to realize its not just PA that smells like a big pile of manure but pretty much every gas station we stop at. Can't wait to get to those mountains!! Lincoln was a ghost town when we got there not much to do or see. The hotel was similarly empty. My extremely exciting day came to end with a viewing of part I of the csi trilogy. I bet you can hardly wait for tomorrow's update...

... Where hay bales out number humans and cattle out number hay bales. Where dual wheel pickups are king. Where 5 plus miles views across fields are common. And where corn rules.
This drive may have added a couple hours to our trip but we saw what most tourists don't. Pictures we have, bu they are in the camera which is down in the truck. I'll try to get them uploaded tomorrow night.
Alright, i'm still at home and getting ready to go to the airport. My nerves are shot and i'm kinda sad that i'm leaving everyone for 2 weeks!! But it's going to be amazing and i just know everyone will be reading this and commenting to keep me happy and entertained... RIGHT????!!!!!
Also, i will miss my cats. ;)
Well, it's been a long time planning and it's almost here. I've got only 46 hours left before i leave for France. I do hope you'll join me on my 2 week excursion to Europe. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you may even be appalled, but in any case you'll have nearly as much fun as me (ok, let's be honest, not even close, but you'll be alright). Talk to you soon!!

Wolfram Alpha kindly calculates that we are 12 weeks from depature to Buenos Aires, Argentina from Chicago. We going to leave even sooner to go to Chicago to visit Nick's brother Joe.
Time is ticking down. I look around the apartment at the things that will go. The things we'll pack and take to Omaha to store.
Will I want this in a year? Is it worth packing, storing and then moving with us to a new place?
What can I take with me ...
After a short drive from Omaha we made it to Lincoln, Nebraska. The small town home to the University of Nebraska. We parked on campus and walked around looking for places to take photos. We had some fun playing on some of the statues and goofing off. We saw alot of ...

Weather: warm but rainy until late afternoon. Beautiful late afternoon -sunny skies high in the 70's.
Wildlife: zero
We started the day off dodging raindrops, but luckily by late afternoon the weather decided to cooperate, allowing us just enough time to get outside and take in a few sites of downtown Lincoln, the capital city of Nebraka.

... visit with Sally. She enjoys living in LIncoln again. Some of the town's features she likes include the many parks, walking trails, and an excellent public library system.
It was wonderful to be able to sleep in, if just for an extra two hours. I left Sally's house at the extremely "LATE" time of 10:30 am to head east toward St. Louis.
... brother fraternity as they helped us establish our first chapter in 1893 at Lombard College in Galesburg, Illinois. This was pretty much the highlight of the trip for me. After that we drove to the State Capitol. The Nebraska state capitol looks a little different from most I have seen. I am used to seeing ones with large domes, white marble or limestone and gold leaf. This capitol had none of these, however if you looked at the details you could appreciate its beauty. The stone ...
