        ... Rocky Mountains to Delta Junction, AK. An incredible feat when you think about it. Today, it would take eight months just to get the environmental clearances! Optimistically!

        Our dinner is king crab with cheesy rice. Not too shabby. I make an early night of it as I am beat from driving. But we decide to break camp early and go downtown and get some pictures of Mile 0 before heading toward Alberta.

        ... Darryl and I had to drive up the road to go and do some washing. When done, we found the rest at the Ten Ten Pub, which is in walking distance to our hotel. We all had a few drinks to unwind from a long day of driving and then had some dinner.

        ... Dad became a legend cruising the water slide at 82 year old! Only one casualty was had when Georgia got her toenail peeled back on a water collection grate at the bottom of the hill. A little first aid and she was back at having a great time with all of her new friends. We had ordered T- shirts as families all in different colors representing each family group that descended from Ray and Julia.         ... is for them. It was so great of everyone to donate towards this! I'm sure they are going to be thrilled! I didn't tell them how much we were coming with so it will be neat to see their reaction. :-) People donated school supplies, socks, underwear, etc. from off the orphanage's 'wish list' and with the money donated, we were able to purchase additional school supplies, socks, underwear, etc. so that is great! ...

        So we started our journey a week ago and we've now made it to Lethbridge, Alberta. Here's the scoop on how week 1 went:

        Day 1 we spent settling into the road trip, making stops in North Bay for a picnic lunch, Sudbury to see the Big Nickel and Sault Ste. Marie for a good nights sleep.
