... Laura are staying with their friends Nick & Allison, who are both from Lethbridge, and they kindly let us bed down in their spare room for the night. This we thought was more than enough hospitality, especially as we were descending upon them on a major holiday, but no they went and invited us to join them for thanksgiving diner at Nick's mum's home.

Nick's mum Rita, and her husband Jack made us feel at ease and ...
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada swaff... has proceeded quickly and may finish by mid October. Don admits that it may take a bit of an adjustment but he will be ready for a change of pace!

We also got word that we finally have a firm sale for our house and now the scramble begins to work out the logists of the 'move' and departure for a winter in the south again. It looks like we will be back in Almonte for much of the month of November.
Welling, Alberta, Canada momadunc... tasked me with working on our ITune library, something I could do with limited movement and left some programs for me to reinstall.

Don continues to enjoy his adventure. He is finding it easier to get to know the other younger workers in this home location. Long, long days continue.

Two finger typing is tiring!
Welling, Alberta, Canada momadunc... have to do this although I think a part of him would like to. He is very stiff from doing the work on his machine! The travel time is much less for us in the coach although we will have to stop for fuel and propane.

I've been busy this week as well. A friend in Ottawa sent me notice of a call for entries for a show at an art gallery in Auburn, NY. As a result, I completed a piece that has been on the go ...
Welling, Alberta, Canada momaduncHello Family and Friends,
We've had computer problems and I have been unable to write to let you know we are doing fine and having a wonderful trip. We left Flagstaff June 12th winding our way North on 89 through the scenic pink, vermillion and white cliffs of Southern Utah. The 13th we left the Fillmore KOA and drove through Salt Lake City (rain all the way) and got to Idaho Falls mid afternoon. We tried to get the computer fixed ...
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada woodrowtucson... beaver dam and two beavers! The beavers were pretty hard to get a good look at as they kept disappearing into the reeds, but at least I can say that I've seen them in the wild. There were also many different types of birds there, most of which I hadn't seen before. On top of that, we were just about to leave when a train went over the bridge. I can't imagine how anyone could bear to drive over it!
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada alexiapep... kmh we sped through the fields and got because of Sandra's driving style mud over us (she feels more comfortable in a car). After a nice dinner with Renae's family we all went to a Rodeo in Stavely, where Sandra's cowboyboots fitted in perfectly. We had no idea there were so many different types of rodeo: there were men on bulls, men on horses, little boys on bulls, women on (not so wild) horses, men chasing calves and bulls chasing men. :) On Sunday we went ...
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada alexiapepMy friend Noreen arrived Sunday morning at 11 a.m. in the pouring rain after her 2 hour trip from Lethbridge. We drove back to Lethbridge in the rain and arrived at 5:30. Noreen has lived here for about 3 years and this is the first time I have seen her place, or been in Lethbridge so it is good. Lethbridge is quite beautiful in a stark way, with the valleys and coulees in the surroundings.
