Oh boy did it get chilly last night....low 40's. We were too cold to get up to turn on the heater :) We had another fun day in LOTO paradise! We hiked all over HaHa Tonka park, it was a Saturday so it was fairly crowded, but it was great to see the history of the castle. It was built in 1906, was a hotel before it burned down in the 40s and is now a state park. We hiked down and back up approx 300 steps...even little Strings did it all. ...
... drove on to the battle of Lexington Civil War site. Hot today and the Visitor Centre not open but we walked the battlefield and saw the graves. A sad war I have always thought (they all are but this one especially). We drove on to Kansas City – here we come. We stayed at Wally Camp as Linton calls it. Walmart is a shop like Kmart and they are all over USA. Many
of them allow motorhomes or caravans (travel Trailers) that are self-contained ...
... which is our minimum goal each day so we're very p,eased with our progress. Tomorrow we plan to leave VERY early so we'll be able to get out and do some site seeing.
Tomorrow we should hit Oklahoma, Texas and land in Arizona... At least that's the plan! Lol! I'll post more as we go although I don't know that I'll be able to on a daily basis but I plan to at least once or twice a week!
