    Wednesday, May 27th : Today we toured the Sergeant Floyd River Museum, Sioux City, Iowa. Charles Floyd died on August 20, 1804 and is the first casualty from what was probably a burst appendix. He is the only fatality among the Corps of Discovery during the expedition. Also in this area the crew meets up with the Blackfoot Indian tribe.     ... privately owned by the guys who dug 45 feet deep in a corn field to recover it. The items they have cleaned and restored are unbelievable. China, nails, barrels of boots, shoes, clothing, fabric, etc. All the cargo was intact and is still to this day being cleaned and placed in the museum.     ... really loud, so we asked for another room. That room smelled like smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The desk clerk said he didn’t have any other rooms available and was trying to get us a room at a different motel, but everything was all booked.
