Tomorrow: Taking in a Cardinals/Padres game at Petco Park. Go ...

So happy that I did not need to fly to join the ship as San Pedro is approximately 1 hour north of where I live in South Orange County, CA. Hilary was very nice to drop me off at the ship! I'm sure she is looking forward to be mother- free for the next 7 days. As usual, the minute one arrives at the ship it becomes one rush of lists of things to ...

... there were acknowledgements of those who served as well... the meaning of Memorial Day. One thing that has stayed in my mind from a "Nostalgia Night" at a Corcoran Clan Reunion decades ago, was the fact that Grandma Char had 5 sons in the military (all different branches) at the same time. She wrote each one, Bud, Les, Bob, Don and Ed, EVERY DAY. (My Dad was too young and I believe was the only one at home. And actually, I ...
