    ... NY and had a wonderful lunch along the shore of Lake Erie. The water was a beautiful blue/green color and an old stone lighthouse was a short distance away. Did I mention the shipwreck?

    Passing through Pennsylvania and New York, the grapes were ready for picking and the 'cow' corn was being harvested.

    Today's mileage: 288 = 712 total. 16.5 mpg

    ... manner through travel terminals. One bag and a backpack is the way to go. Therefore, we selected clothing carefully - mix and match clothing that will easily wash out in the hotel room and dry overnight. When all was packed we have two bags that came in just under 50 lbs each and one backpack at about 18lbs and another at 7. We're good to go!     ... it had to "recalculate" once or twice for road detours, arrived at another Best Western Motel. This time at Dunkirk, New York. This is about one and a half hours from Niagara Falls. Will do the falls tomorrow, as a day visit, then start heading south to Florida. Have decided to skip New York City and Washington as a time saver.
