... around. The water running through Hot Springs Creek (and directly under the row of bathouses built before 1920) is heated by the Novaculite rocks in the mountains. The mineral waters here are of high quality and you can drink them straight from the ground, the centre of town has a mineral water fill station where everyone, from near and far, brings their bottles to fill with the hot mineral water. It tastes really good and isn't too 'minerally'.

... seeing it on the Travel Channel, and mom expressed she wanted to do as well, the only thing that could have been better was finding a diamond, but no such luck, although some of the Jasper stones are really pretty. We also manage to get 2 geocaches at Crater of Diamonds State Park as well, 5 more caches than expected for a total of 7 today.

After the tour of the grounds was done we went to the Lisa Marie and Hound dog II airplanes and got a look at his elaborate personal airplanes. Which were again very elaborate for the time period. The next day we went back to the town and took in the Fordyce Bath House that has been restored as a museum and visitor's center. The plan went off without a hitch (except for going the wrong way on a bypass once), and my family was very surprised. Luke and Jenna ate dinner with us and then kept going on their way. We stayed at the lake house until Monday afternoon, swimming and watching movies and eating burgers, then I finally headed home.

Both my aunt's live in cute little houses in cute little neighborhoods. They have family pictures lining the walls and both even had my graduation picture from high school. My sister, mom, and I looked through family photo albums and found pictures of my grandmother when she was younger. It's crazy to think of my grandmother as a little kid.
Last night we went to dinner at their friends house. Turns out their town is dry on Sundays but her friends greeted us ...
... we all came out relaxed and squeaky clean! Head home and take a path through a narrow winding road through the National Park, very pretty with the soft trees, at times over hanging the road to create a tunnel. Home and relax have dinner and at last be able to post the last couple of days happenings. Tomorrow unsure of our movements, we have plenty of time, and around here with the hot pools as well as a gem field where it is ...

This fascinating tour sure cured me of my desire to try the bathhouses for myself! Later, I strolled the Promenade and enjoyed the warm ...
