... totally empty too; that was kind of nice though.

After our goodies, we took DS back to the room so he could go to bed. Then DH and I went to the lobby and did some computering. It was at least a nice atmosphere down there and quiet. We did not know at the time, though, that the hotel's WiFi would totally screw up our WiFi once we got home (we had to totally reset our internet connections on 2 computers and 2 iTouches). Grrrrrrrrr.
Henderson, Nevada, United States kitkatgo... first spots of rain. We arrived at the Grand Canyon about 3.30pm. TomTom got a bit confused as it tried to send us down roads that weren't there. We got to Mather campground, registered and headed for our spot, no. 63. Luckily I had booked this in January as the place had no vacancies for any RVs for the next wile and no vacancies at all this weekend as its Memorial Day We pulled into our site. The site has a picnic table and a fire pit ...
Grand Canyon, Arizona, United States arealhighlander... room I registered for. I decided not to do anything about it until I saw hair in the bathroom, hair on the table and the table was dirty. I double check my reservation and it says 'premium' so I call the front desk and they agree to move us to a premium room. It's just better, cleaner, has a plasma television and a LCD television in the bathroom ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States catty... spot! it is crazily huge and really carved ground! looked soooo deep and our tour guide said he had seen people topple over the side, hopefully not us!!! Really good day, flew back for a snooze before hitting it *******ce again - when in rome hey??!!! After putting our conceirge put us on a few guest lists we headed to the palms casino - huge but quite far off the strip! went up 100's of floors to their rooftop club Moon! Was amazing view up there and we even got to to ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States katandhel... works here and it was recently her birthday. Whitney was in Laughlin working and we were heading there shortly. Had my first run in with a Police Officer on the way to Laughlin. Clarise was driving and not paying much attention to the road (obviously) :P The speed limit went from 75 to 45, to 35 to 25... we were still going 42 by the time we hit the 25 and Mr Piggy was sitting waiting. Clarise blames the signs for being too close together as the reason for not ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States teasertool... time so we hung out at his new place. Him and his roommates found a sweet house in Glendale. It is so awesome having people we know to talk to along the way. After catching up briefly and talking a little more about LA we were back on the road. NAB (National Association of Broadcasters) starts tomorrow. I'm hoping to get some more info about Avid (an editing company) and some other new product information for 2009.
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States adeana... Miracle. Why didn't we see this sign before? I look at the reverse side of this sign, and all it says is Grand Spa, straight ahead. WTF? There was no sign from the other direction, pointing to the monorail. At this point I'm getting really frustrated. It felt like it took us a totally of 20-25 minutes just to find this stupid station. It was too late to turn around, so we look at the tickets. You can by one way tix ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States aurora813... David: This appeared to be a theme in most of the hotels: long queues and very few staff even though there was a massive reception desk. I can only think that it's done on purpose to make those in the incredibly well staffed and short VIP queues feel like they're getting value for money out of their VIP status.) The Stratosphere was much better. After walking all the way through the deafening Casino to Reception, we were seen immediately and given the key card to a massive room ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States mrsdp... Arriving in Vegas we ran into Penna and H in the airport (couldn't have planned it better). Then we got a cab to our hotel, Tresure island or TI as all the cool kids say! - Vegas is just awesome!!! The first day we explored our hotel and a couple around us. We were pretty tired so we had an fairly early night - We had our first crack at roulette yesterday and Penna won $20. Nice! At first we ...
Las Vegas, Nevada, United States kwilliamson... I feel that I can handle anything and am currently faced with two young men relying on me to find a room and so far being told that there is no room at any of the numerous hotels on the Strip, or being quoted prices which I can't afford. The additional expense I have incurred today also makes winning big more of a priority, unless anyone would like to purchase a kidney or a lung (other body parts available on request) one hugely irresponsible owner...
