OK we have done the final gather of "stuff"....from spatulas to spare batterys and have the Honda Oddessey preliminarily packed for the big adventure! We start tomorrow after Tom works the morning and Maria gets home from a half day of school. We can't wait!

... I lost my mind a little and convinced myself I might freeze to death after my gas ran out and I started willing off my items to friends. Stephanie told me to go snuggle with some truckers. I'm glad it didn't come to that, although there would have been plenty to choose from! I was very glad to get home.

... raining until we decided to stop and rest of the night at Fort Wayne (Indiana). Not much of a nice place, especially with the strippers club next to the hotel and the people walking around the hotel. Sufficient to say this ain't no Ohio Amish country any more! What we did find next to the hotel was a Barnes & Noble book store and finally managed to buy some good books to read, including a couple of Bill Bryson ones recommended by Veronika's friend Anne.

Hello Everyone, This is going to be my travelogue when I am student teaching in Kenya. I will try to update this website twice a week with pictures and journal entries. The flight from Indianapolis to Detroit was uneventful. I was there early, and it took a while for friends to start appearing! We flew from Detroit to Amsterdam, and I slept through everything...including both meals. We headed out of the city at about 2:00 and made it to a campsite in Indiana near Fort Wayne. The highlight of the evening was when we decided to bring the laptop into the tent to watch some 'That 70's Show'!
