... crossed the Mississippi on a old, narrow, 2-lane bridge that had concrete barriers on each side with trucks in front, behind, and beside. Victor was Steady Eddie while I was the one rattled.  Later in the drive we had to maneuver through some narrow country roads with no shoulders.  We even came upon a one-lane river crossing with no edges that appeared to be washed out due to some recent heavy rains.  The tires of the trailer just barely stayed on the ...

I got to Mom's house, and have been hanging out with her... doing some relaxing, and some work on the computer for work (working remotely for a while for extra cash). Nice weather. Her house looks down on the street which is near a big lake: Lake ...

We originally wanted to rent an RV in Kansas City, but by the time we were ready to plunk down a deposit, there weren't any available. Omaha was the next best bet. Why didn't we rent an RV in St. Louis, you ask? We've seen Missouri. Why would we want to drive an RV across this state? Boring!

    OK... bed time. g'nite.
