... spend a few hours with them and we had supper at Outback together, then we had to leave.

... trips. The opportunity to see so many archaeological sites was fantastic. By comparing Ashkelon to sites like Lachish, Azekah and Tel Dan, it became easier to understand how the city fit in the rest of Israel.
