Happy birthday Nick! 25 years young. Unfortunately on his birthday we had to drive 10 hours. We left at 11am to Warrensburg, MO to deliver our bunnies, Maggie and Sam to Kristin. She is a nice girl who responded to my craiglist ad to foster our bunnies. She has ...

... another portion of America seen from the windows of my car. Fortunately the time passed quickly as we continued listening to our Michael Connelly book on tape (book on ipod? recorded book? i dunno. none have the same ring). We're regular detectives by this point the way we've been throwing out all sorts of conjectures about the murders. Harry Bosch is keeping us on our toes...erm...on the edges of our ...

In Omaha to visit my niece. I will see them tomorrow. It's been a long day and lots of miles. Anyone planning on doing this kind of trip, 300 miles a day is enough!! Out of here on Sa************ing for Mt Rushmore, then to Vegas for a rest, then head home. It's been a great trip, more ups than downs.
Omaha,, Nebraska, United States larryandsusan... the trip and the weather throughout the trip was much better than could have been expected. We had a few brief rain/snow squalls in Antarctica and a short period of fairly rough seas as we were bound for Cape Horn, but nothing like what we could have seen down there. Last year the smaller ship that made this voyage was not able to stop at the first two ports due to the weather.

Brian took us to the airport where we met the Kings. After checking in we all had lunch together...Jim, Carol, Chad, Todd, Joyce, Brian, and me. After lunch the boys took off and we headed to security. Our plane was a little late leaving, but nothing major.
... wait until my next cross country road trip. Other than those bits of excitement, we knocked out a good 8 hours of driving and covered over 400 miles today; I successfully listened to every song in my iPod at least once (it's a shuffle, so there's only about 120 songs in there). There are few things quite as therapeutic as driving with the stereo blasting your favorite songs. If I ...
Lincoln, Nebraska, United States wanderlust2000... town compared to Chicago and the HI Cornerstone hostel is located in the basement of a church. What a religious experience this is, I thought. The people are much more open here, and the girls from the nearby University of Nebraska are stunningly beautiful. This was just a stopover for me as tomorrow I will going west again, into the foothills of the Rockies.
