Oklahoma was a beautiful state but I did not have time to stay. Now that I am in Arkansas I am going to have The Grilled Atlantic Salmon from a restaurant I found called South Park. It was $9.99 and then I had a water to drink. Next I got gas at Valera for $44.69 and then I arrived at a Holiday Inn Express so goodnight!

Thankfully, though, it stopped raining fairly quickly, and the mists blew away, We were at an overlook at the time, and we got a nice view of the town of Dardanelle and the nearby river as the low clouds were swept back. We set in a pavilion for a while playing cards and drinking hot chocolate I made on my alcohol stove before turning in for the night. So, you know it's getting real when you start having nightmares about it.
I woke up in the wee hours of this morning with the most god awful camp in my right calf. My first, sensible reaction was, of course, to assume that I'd been shot. The pain was worse than childbirth (or so I can only conclude).
After some considered efforts to alleviate the symptoms (i.e. punching the living daylights out of my leg), I realised that this horrendous pain ...

Then there are the sites that really aren't that interesting, but we stop at none-the-less, and we leave knowing that we can at least say that we've been. We visited 2 of those today...Tupelo & Brices Cross Roads National Battlefields. We also drove a very small portion of the Natchez Trace National Parkway, our second time on the parkway.
