Wow am I gonna bore you to death today. We did one thing and it amounted to getting out of the car for 10 minutes and walk about 2 tenths of a mile to a oat or rye field (I know it wasn't wheat) and took a couple of pictures of 9 Cadillacs of varying years of age partially buried in the ground. ... the plains of Kansas, Nebraska, and even eastern Colorado, we try not to complain about the trees & rolling hills of eastern Oklahoma & Arkansas, but it's still not terribly exciting. No activities for today, just drove from 1 hotel to the next. We are getting closer to home and starting to think about what needs to be ...

Days 2 & 3 took us to the Buffalo National River in northern Arkansas. The river was the first with this designation, which it obtained a little more than 40 years ago. For years there was debate as to whether a dam would be built on this river. Eventually, it was decided to keep it running "free." Today, there are lots of canoe & kayak businesses that keep the river well used, and several campgrounds along its banks. Heads up: most of ...
