Leaving @ 8 am, headed for somewhere west of Dallas! Made it to Longview tx!! Uneventful day, great weather, sunny skies!! Drove over the mighty Mississippi! Found a nice little campground, pool for the kids, trails for the dogs. Great overnight spot! Didn't get as far as we hoped, 1200 more miles to Grand ...

Up until this point, Scott has yet to drive. So, finally in the morning his trainer is giving him the go ahead to get behind the wheel in order to move his first haul for a pick up at Tyson Foods. Let's hope for the best!

... next day and were looking for a overnight spot near Nacodoches TX. After an hour of driving farm roads in darkness following our GPS we came to Camp Tonkawa Springs RV Park in Garrison TX. The next morning we got a history of the 1800's camp built around a crystal clear white sandy bottom spring. The park also had a herd of 28 deer that were used to hand-feeding. ...

... from Texas! The streets around the capitol in Marshall, Texas, put on a big light display. There are a lot of lights, nutcrackers, blow-up snowmen, and window displays. We got there right before the lights turned off, so we only got to see the lights for a little bit. But we enjoyed the beautiful lights as one last Christmas stop before going home.
