The end of our journey is in sight!! We stayed near Detroit on Tuesday night and crossed back into Canada at Sarnia and headed down to Point Pelee - Canada's most southern point before going to Shiela and Rob's last night. ... The locals tell me this restaurant used to be a hotel. Bodies are now buried under the property from years ago when deceased family members couldn't afford to move the bodies to a different cemetery. I ordered their "blank canvas" pizza and added my own toppings. (Thank you for having green olives). ... the ensuing race and returned to comment on the affair to me: "I saw how you could whip that thing around--that is a really cool RV!"

He leaves and I proceed to top off the RV. Another gentleman emerges from the store at the gas station and stops in his tracks: "That is a really cool looking RV. I've got that trailer over there and my next one will be something like this..."

Haven't even started the trip yet!

... There is a large bridge that takes you from Detroit onto the island. The island has a fountain, arboretum, playgrounds, picnic spots, ball fields and more. The family reunions were huge, featuring custom tee shirts and signs to direct family members where to find them. We headed back to downtown Detroit to find some dinner.
