CALIFORNIA DREAMING
After a nights sleep at Loews Hotel (very nice) water views, swimming pool and lovely walking along the beach, we had a lovely day.
The walk along Venice Beach (muscle beach) not a lot of muscle to see, but colorful people, lots of tattoos, bike riding, roller blading, begging, homeless people, a must to see.

Arrival in San Francisco
... feel the sun caressing your skin and the cool breeze preventing it from getting too hot. Then there were the smells, from your seafood and delicious sweet food to some things not so great.
Then I went on the Hop On/Hop Off bus tour which came with my Alcatraz ticket, I wasn't too impressed with this as the bus stop was unclear and they took 50minutes to turn up instead of the 30 minutes. Then they took us all the back roads and to some weird places, including through ...
'Out n' About' with Sister Deltriona
... we were entitled to and really really impressed us. We had the nicest time at Imagery. They are so small you cannot buy the wine externally and each of their bottles has a different piece of art on it. Their estate red, a mixture of Cab Sav, Merlot and Malbec and is out of this world. Dels has it on the list as my 'Wedding wine!' at $65 dollars a bottle, she's agreed to foot the bill - thanks again babes!

San Francisco and Alcatraz
... day, no one knows if they made it or drowned trying. The guards seemed pretty sure that they had drowned, and after going over the bay in the ferry and seeing how rough it was, it would have taken a miracle to make it using a rain coat raft!
