... a primary stop on the migratory route for many birds. They also had a nature drive that we took. Did not see much, only a couple of turkeys, as it is the wrong time of year. But that gave us our first critter fix for the day. As on our 2010 trip we try and see a 'critter', anything non-domesticated, every day.

Went grocery shopping after I got back. Peg had really packed the camper with frozen food from our freezer at home and loads of staples, so this was a trip for eggs and fresh vegetables.
Our critter for the day was a young 6 point buck with velvet antlers. I was surprised how small he was compared to our deer in upstate NY. We got back to camp about 9 PM, had a campfire, then a late dinner of ...

Sooooo now after we start our laundry, we see the sign for the dryers ... $.50 for 10 minutes. Yep...$.50 for 10 minutes. I don't know about you but I've NEVER dried ANYTHING in 10 minutes unless they were nighties or hanker-chiefs. We "guesstimated" about 20 minutes each ... So we insert the Laundry Card first ... fool me ...
... two smaller halls that house exhibits. There were also two sphinxes up there that looked like each had an eagle covering its face. I found a description; they are Assyrian sphinxes, covering their faces with their wings from the horrors of past and future wars. Very unusual statues!
