... to a helpful lady we met who knew where she was. Apparently we took the first turn in the wrong direction and therefore were doing the route in reverse of the way we intended. Which made it very confusing when we came to the first junction - lol! We earned lunch, so we had typical american fare - Cowboy BBQ with slaw, cornbread and beans! Then we headed out of Palm Springs on a mission - to find the greatest Joshua Tree EVER and take a picture of Joshuah with ...

... The air is hazy with city smog :( dulling down the blue sky; making tall rocky hills barely visible in the distance. Palm Springs is an awesome little town - we made it! Palm trees errywhere make it feel like we're on a tropical island. Actually were in the desert. Hot sun on skin never felt so good! After a Walmart sesh to stock up on drinks and camp stuff ...

... span to exit right onto I-10. California drivers have different approach...they just go hard and ease in and out and no one ever honks. They don't slow down to let anyone in, and don't expect anyone to let them in - they just find a way!

Once we finally got on I-10 it was clear sailing and we could breathe a little easier...no more spaghetti bowls. The traffic wasn't too bad since it was Sunday morning but there was still a fair ...
