... we drove today. Millions of acres of corn are grown on the plains with no irrigation at all - an amazing sight and one that I have been wanting to see all my life! We had heard about the corn fields of the Midwest before, but there is nothing quite like seeing them while driving through them for more than 400 miles today, for the third consecutive day, with at least one more day to go. After a motel breakfast we drove south to Le Mars, again. After driving all around town a hill top view of Iowa corn fields being readied for planting needed to have it's picture taken. Then off to the museum in Le Mars. This is no small museum! It is a three story brick building covering almost a square block.
