Late in the hike we decided to camp again at the same site as last night, so we drove the short 2 minutes back from the trailhead and had a buffet of mashed potatoes and corn "cooking" shortly after declaring the homestead. Then a quick trip downhill to town for firewood (they were closed but sold us some anyway) and another fire topped off the early night.
