... and they warned us before hand that it was gonna be difficult… boy were they not kidding! We were in the airport for like 2 hours, going from room to room… they knew they were messing with us.. which was annoying to me, because not to sound heartless but I was there to help them so I don’t get why they were giving us a hard time.
During this process while we were sitting in an office (it was kind of sketchy) I saw a HUGE black bug… ...
... and he explained they were all gathering at Wall Street for a mass prayer. I asked how often they did this, thinking it must be a regular NY occurrence, and he said it was the first time. Police were conducting crowd control and said there were about 40,000 Jews gathering. It was quite a sight & I can't imagine we will ever see that many Jews in one location ever again, but meant we couldn't access a lot of Wall Street.
We had lunch & ...
... in the sea. Saw lots of evidence of last years hurricane which destroyed houses and trees right across long island. Saw lots of jellyfish washed up and the temp of the sea was actually quite warm! We then drove back and all got an ice cream from their local shop and Ros cooked a great dinner for us all.
