    ... and OF COURSE, we were the only ones wearing the gay shirts. However, it was kinda good because everyone from the program was coming up to us (I HIGHLY suggest that if they tell you to wear it to the airport, you should.. it makes it a hell of a lot easier to find people who are supposed to be with you). There was actually about 10 of us (from all different states) who transferred in Amsterdam, which was cool because there was only 17 people in our group… so ...

    ... and he explained they were all gathering at Wall Street for a mass prayer. I asked how often they did this, thinking it must be a regular NY occurrence, and he said it was the first time. Police were conducting crowd control and said there were about 40,000 Jews gathering. It was quite a sight & I can't imagine we will ever see that many Jews in one location ever again, but meant we couldn't access a lot of Wall Street.

    ... in the sea. Saw lots of evidence of last years hurricane which destroyed houses and trees right across long island. Saw lots of jellyfish washed up and the temp of the sea was actually quite warm! We then drove back and all got an ice cream from their local shop and Ros cooked a great dinner for us all.
