Today we stopped in Mississippi at the Stennis Space Center. This is a NASA test center where engines are test fired.

We saw where the Saturn 5 rockets, Shuttle and now the SLS engines are tested.

The Linear Aerospike Engine for the cancelled X-33 was also fired here.

It was worth the stop since it was on our way and a convenient stop. Doesn't really compare to Kennedy Space Center but it was interesting none the less.

There is no magic calendar for "shrimp" season for the gulf of Mexico. It is pretty much traditionally in May or June depending on the weather. We went in the 12 foot deep channel and they were able to catch alot ...

He came to Gulfport because his agent lives here. He left Bulgaria because he got into trouble with the communists by speaking up against them; he spent some time in prison and had some rather horrific experiences. He published a book last year called The Golden Ring Behind ...

Hints on distance riding

... top of its windshield. Several riders said riding it made them feel disoriented or tired or gave them headaches. If your windshield creates this problem, or if you have a faceshield or sunglasses that are optically imperfect, you should find a replacement or eliminate the problem, perhaps by trimming the top of your windshield. If your vision has changed so that your prescription is no longer adequate, update it before you leave. Caffeine and Alcohol: A coffee or cola can briefly ...
