Thomasville, North Carolina, United States mercedesbump... br>
Mom and I went to Food Lion and stocked up on, well, mainly cheese. It was such great weather I told her we needed to take the dog somewhere different to walk. All I could manage to convince her to do was to go down the highway to the Veterans’ Memorial Park. It’s basically a paved circular walkway. It wasn’t wonderful, but at least we weren’t sitting in the house watching the food channel!!
Stokesdale, North Carolina, United States padrepam... been transcribing my old travel journals, I’ve noticed how often I list the menus at various restaurants along the way. I don’t think that will be a major part of this travel blog. Breakfast was at home: scrambled eggs and yogurt. Lunch was 3 courses at the airport and on the plane: cheese crackers, peanuts, a Fiber One bar, accompanied by a nice bottle of white – water. Dinner was ...

The road music is bound to be great, Sumner hooked us up with a Sirius radio. So far we've got some Rider's in the Storm, Yellow Submarine, and Bennie and the Jets.

Headed down to Greensboro, NC to stay with good ole pal Justin Cohee. I hate being in this car, I want to scream and shout. Fast driving just sounds like a bad idea..Better things ahead...
Our room was the Demon Deacon room. The Demon Deacon is the mascot for Wake Forest, which was literally right down the road from us. So, it was exciting to find out everyone's theme, including our and the Arnold Palmer room. The downside... the Demon Deacon is a creepy creepy figure. There he was in a huge poster ...

Greensboro, North Carolina, United States cindysellsjohnsToday is a big day. Today marks the seventh anniversary of Andy's death.
.
I am amazed at the number of opportunties I have had to share Andy's story in the past seven years. We both shared our time under the weather but managed to rally quickly on the trip. And what a trip it was- too many memories, sights and great times to recount yet- need to reflect some more and hopefully the pics/videos will do a little justice. A trip we'll definitely never forget. Thanks Pops.
Greensboro, North Carolina, United States heelsoutwestSo we made it to Greensboro, NC. This is our pit-stop on the way to Fairfax, VA (the "Washington, D.C." office). It was a fairly uneventful day-just a day of driving. But Albert wants to make sure that I document each and every stop so we can keep the map pins accurate! We were going to meet up with friends that live here in Greensboro, but they had plans and were not able to get together. We'll try to catch up with them when we head back this way ...
