Hopped back in and launched from Dothan for the 2.5 hour flight into Fort Pierce, FL, the intended destination for Day 2. The weather cooperated with low cumulus clouds and little-to-no vertical development. We climbed out headed for 7500' MSL. For reasons still unclear, our flight plan was unavailable with Flight Service so we filed in flight before contacting ATC for Flight Following. Once in the system, we climbed to 7500' just above a scattered cumulus layer and only needed ...

This is a park we stayed at on our previous journey 2 years ago and was one of our faves for its serenity, cultural richness and scenery. My first day in Florida was awesome. I saw many new places to eat or to buy clothes that we don’t have in Quebec. Where I live for the moment, there are several restaurants. I ate for the first time in a Friendly’s restaurant. It was good. I ate a big hamburger with lettuce, bacon and cheese with a good portion of French fries. After this delicious meal, I decided to eat an ice cream. This is one of the best sundaes that I never ate in my life. ...

... Today, as usual, there were zero. It was probably too cold. We raced back to the entrance to Biolab Rd a few miles south. It us a potholed, gravel mess. Andrew kept reminded me the speed limit was 15. I told him nature had a speed limit here. Too fast and you're stuck. The road is very narrow in spots. Whenever a car passed, I folded in the side mirrors. Why subject ourselves to this? We know from experience that this is where to find big gators and hidden cranes, storks, and herons. ...
