... back to Chicago stopping at a truck stop on the way for a drink. This turned out to be another classic diner experience. Going into Chicago is was bucketing down with rain and difficult driving but we made it ok. I dropped the girls at our hotel, re-fueled the car and walked back to the hotel. The girls shopped for the arvo while I watched the Masters golf. Nice dinner at the 'Big Bowl' (Thai/Chinese). We're off to explore Chicago 'Old town' tomorrow.

... think to hard about it. My flat was really weird, and took extra long to change. Everything was wet and muddy and hard to get a grip. The hole was in the inside of the tube facing the spokes, and it looked like a pinch flat. I don't even know how that's possible, but it's easy to patch at least. Changing this flat made me realize just how weak my hands have become from riding and smashing my nerves for so long. I have very little dexterity in my left hand now. Not to worry too ...
My grandma passed away peacefully surrounded by her family yesterday early afternoon. Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and prayers.

... in love, and we were on the road without having to worry about who would cover our jobs, who would do laundry on Friday, or when we'll be back.
I'll admit; being a towner who joined the circus last year has always made me feel on the outside (not always in a bad way, mind you) but last night I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Kelly Miller Circus is our family and always will be. Thank you, dear friends...we'll see you again soon.
