... for iced tea and a scone! Then we drove to Florence where we grabbed dinner at a seafood restaurant with the worst food of our trip. It was freezer food reheated with no flavor. Big letdown! The motel was sub-par but it did the job. We turned in around 10pm which is prob our late night record so ...

We didn't actually get on the road until 1:40 p.m. and as we drove we were in driving rain (actually going sideways) and heavy winds that made the trip a bit on the scary side. Especially as we traveled over a very tall bridge over a river open to the ocean and we actually blew over a ...

... door and we looked at the menu. It was one of the restaurants we hadn’t tried, so that was our dining choice for dinner. Judy and Harlan had crabcakes and I enjoyed shrimp. Local fishermen told us that crabbing isn’t very good right now because they’re molting, so the meat is best for chowders and crabcakes. The best crabbing is September-December. ...
