... Korean War memorial and finishing at the Abraham Lincoln memorial. All the architecture and buildings were incredible, such detail and the unique designs were awesome! After such a big day we decided in Chinese for dinner located just across the street and then an early night. Later Gators! LJ ...

... cool mountain air!

Back into more of the eastern traffic with 'dueling semis" truck passing each other but not without backing up traffic. Ugh.

Put in our LAST book on CD for the day.

11:23 AM - Indiana. Terre Haute. ("lose" another hour, time-wise, somewhere here)

12:40 AM - Indianapolis, IN. Stopped east of the city for quick lunch at Burger King.

... the Steubenville, OH, where we would met up with the Bolsters.

Ron was a friend of mine from college and the Navy (we both flew Prowlers), while Andrea had gone to high school and college with Kay. We introduced the two of them when Ron asked me to to give him a ride to the airport in Seattle when he and I lived in Oak Harbor. We'd had to stay with Kay and Andrea in their house due to a really bad snow storm. Now, almost 23 years later, ...

... along with a volleyball net (which we didn't even see). We were unhappy that we were out in the open on a hill - directly in the bright sunshine. The AC unit in the camper was on full-blast! The camper lot was very big with another level down the hill. There was a great hill for me to get some excercise on my bike though!

p.s. I'm actually sitting at our second campground while writing this. I forgot yesterday!

... interesting array of tools that were used on the farm. The painting on the side of the barn had a good story as well. It was painted by Harley Warrick, who painted the slogan for the chewing tobacco company for 55 years. He actually painted over 20,000 barns in his lifetime.
